What inspired you to write this book?

I wanted to show a family working together and accepting each other despite their flaws.

How did you come up with the title?

It was actually a kick-butt line from the dialogue.

Which character do you relate to the most and why?

I’d say Maxwell, an older man, looks at the actions of “youngins” and is amazed.

What message or theme do you hope readers take away?

Family first, and expect the unexpected.

What was the hardest scene to write, and the most rewarding?

The bombing of the community center was, but the plot demanded it, most rewarding where the erotic scenes each sibling experienced.

    Book Journey

When did you start writing this book, and how long did it take to complete?

The beginning of 2022 took almost three years to complete.

How does this book compare to your previous work?

It’s different due to the shifting of points of view that yielded multiple protagonists, and the bad guy is the good guy, and the story included a book two.

Did you always know how the story would end?

No, the plot took it’s own ending.

Why did you choose to self-publish or traditionally publish this book?

There was limited interest from the traditional publishing outlets; what I wanted the book to be didn’t fit in with traditional expectations, so I self-published it; not sure I would do it again; there are a lot of hurdles with self-publishing, I am a writer, not a publisher.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to write in your genre?

Read the genre; there are different types of mysteries, and know what you’re writing.

      Reader Engagement

What three words best describe your book?

        Bold, Sexy, and Shocking.

Which quote or scene do readers mention to you the most?

        The community center bombing.

What’s one question you wish readers would ask?

        Why such a disturbing cover?
