“Black Folks Tired of Singing We

Shall Overcome”

White privilege gives

you cover.

Your blues ain’t

nothin’ like

mine.

Police don’t kill

White people;

mostly killing

mine.

No justice, No peace.

Police brutality.

401 years of black lives

in peril

spawn Black hostility.

100 years of singing

God bless America,

let freedom ring;

while the

world stands by in

silence,

watching Black suffering.

You cannot know

The rage I carry, that’s

buried deep inside.

Protesting since King.

Living separate and

unequal, bloody,

Black Lives.
