Kim Robinson’s life took an unexpected turn as she spent 11 years in the dark world of a madam, call girl, drug dealer, and addict, despite her promising start in academics and leadership. Now, she’s inspiring others through her story of survival and transformation, especially abused women and teens. Born and raised in the rough neighborhoods of southwest Los Angeles and Compton, she shares her journey from the Watts riots to the present. Kim’s childhood trauma led her to the Street Life, a path she vividly recounts. Her book, a part of The Roux in the Gumbo series, delves into her struggles, resilience, and ultimate redemption.
